Job description
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments on systems, networks, and applications using tools like Nessus.
- Develop and implement patching schedules to minimize operational disruption.
- Manage and coordinate security patches across all systems and software, both automated and manual.
- Test, validate, and analyze patches before deployment; manage rollback procedures if needed.
- Investigate and resolve security incidents related to vulnerabilities.
- Evaluate and optimize system configurations to enhance security posture and ensure compliance with security policies.
- Generate reports and maintain documentation for vulnerability management activities and patch status.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and system owners to integrate vulnerability management practices and address security concerns.
- Stay updated on the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and best practices, implementing controls as per industry standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in vulnerability management, including assessments, patch management, and configuration optimization.
- Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning tools and related technologies.
- Strong understanding of security best practices, standards, and frameworks.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
- Effective communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are a plus.
