Job description
- Monitor platform performance to ensure high availability, reliability, and efficiency.
- Handle day-to-day administrative and operational requests for data platforms (e.g., user access, resource provisioning, configuration changes).
- Maintain operational documentation and runbooks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve platform-related incidents, including RCA reporting (on-call and night shift support required).
- Support platform upgrades, patching, and ongoing maintenance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support platform operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Data Platform Engineer.
- Strong experience with cloud-based data platforms, especially in Microsoft Azure (AWS is a plus).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Python).
- Solid Linux administration skills (user management, performance tuning, troubleshooting).
- Familiar with tools and technologies such as Databricks, Azure Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Synapse, APIs, and container platforms.
